    Dear Brittany and Jesse,

It’s been a while since I have contacted the show but please know that I am still an avid listener and try to never miss an episode of your podcast. I want to give a few of my thoughts on the Catholic Church. The church has failed many of its parishioners by remaining complicit on the sex abuse allegations. Moving priests from one parish to another knowing that they are abusers. They have ruined countless lives and it seems never-ending. I don’t know if you have seen the documentary on Netflix called, “The Keepers”, if not, I highly recommend watching it. It’s about a high school in Baltimore where a nun was murdered in the early 70s to cover up for sexual abuse against the girls by several priests in the school. This happens to have been my high school. By the time I got there, there were no longer priests in the school as this happened more than a decade before I entered high school. After watching this series, I was mortified and disgusted at the lengths the church went through to cover up for this. The school is no longer open but the damage remains. Girls were abused and a nun murdered.

As a result, I can no longer offer my support to the church. I am one of those who refuses to attend a Catholic Church. I have not lost my faith but until they have addressed the issue fully and stop moving priests from place to place to continue to ruin the lives of innocent children, the church will not get my money or support.

As always, love the show and Brittany’s the best part (and a special shout out to @bullypopeye and long live EWF!

(and you don’t have to read this part but my son really loved Orange County and wants to go back and visit again!)
